2006 Projects

MS Walk/MS150 Bike Tour -- MSI Volunteers helped serve lunch at the MS Walk on Saturday, May 6th, and took the very early morning shift to help register racers for the MS150 Bike Tour on July 8th. The Walk and the Bike Tour are annual MS events to help raise funds to find a cure, and build awareness of this devastating disease.

Helping Hands Clean Up Day
-- Volunteers helped the organization clean yards and homes of two families on Saturday, June 3rd.  Helping Hands helps seniors, friends with disabilities, and neighbors with chronic illnesses through direct in-home services, caregiver support and heartfelt individual attention.

The "Undie 500"
-- thanks to the Committee's efforts and the many great employees of MSI, donations of over 300 pair of underwear were collected for the Denver Rescue Mission to help with their "greatest needs" list in July.

Habitat For Humanity
-- 15 volunteers helped to build better communities and eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by working with Habitat For Humanity on August 19th.  The day was spent working on the Emerald Hill construction site in Broomfield.

Race For The Cure
-- 10 participants walked and then volunteered to help clean up the walk site on October 6, 2006 for this annual nation-wide event

Coat/Blanket Drive
-- Over 100 coats and blankets were donated in late October by MSI employees for the homeless men, women, and children in the Metro area through the Denver Rescue Mission.

Food Bank of the Rockies
-- This mid-December annual food drive netted two full barrels of non-perishable items, donated by MSI employees, to benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies and help stamp out hunger in Colorado.
