2012 Projects

Supporting Our Troops:  MSI employees collected DVDs, snacks and toiletries and donated it to the USO in Colorado Springs.  They also made handmade thank you cards to show support for the brave men and women who serve our country.

Community Can Can: The Community Can Can was a fun and challenging event.  MSI had two teams competing in the Can Can this year.  Teams from our Broomfield and Loveland offices collected canned goods which they used to create a structure.  The Broomfield office took the trophy for the most cans collected, 8,000 cans!!  The Loveland office took the trophy for the most creative.  All the food collected was distributed to food banks across the metro area.

Hot Dog Bar: MSI along with All Set Restoration sponsored a hot dog bar.  MSI employees enjoyed hot dogs with all the fixings.  Everyone who purchased a hot dog received a raffle ticket for chance to win tickets to a Rockies game.  All the proceeds were donated to the Tim Tebow Foundation's, W15H Program.

Pet Photo Contest: This is always a popular event!  MSI employees pay a fee to enter photos of their pets and then the voting begins.  The voting is always spirited which is great the Denver Dumb Friends League since each ballot purchased equals a one dollar donation.  The winner gets bragging rights for the next year as being the most popular pet at MSI!!

Salad Bar: Once again the MSI Volunteer Committee sponsored a fantastic salad bar.   For just $5.00 MSI employees were able to enjoy a restaurant quality salad bar without leaving the office.  All the proceeds were donated to the Tim Tebow W15H Program.

Giving Thanks:  To support the Denver Rescue Mission, MSI employees purchased paper "turkeys" and cornucopias.  The turkeys were used to decorate a wall in the break room and the goal was to cover the wall.  The generous employees and visitors to our office were able to COVER the wall and provide over 100 turkey dinners for the Denver Rescue Mission's Thanksgiving feast.

Angel Tree:  The Salvation Army Angel Tree is always a special event at MSI.  We receive the names and wishes of boys and girls who may need a helping hand this year.  MSI employees purchase gifts for the children and place them under the MSI Christmas tree.  It is always heart warming to gather the gifts and deliver them to the Salvation Army.  With the help of MSI's employees, over 30 more children will realize a Very Merry Christmas this year.

Roll Out the Barrel:  In conjunction with one of our attorney firms, Orten, Cavanaugh, Richmond and Holmes and the Colorado Bar Association, MSI collected non-perishable foods to "fill the barrel" and replenish the shelves of the Food Bank of the Rockies.  MSI employees filled one full barrel with lots of good and nutritious foods to help those who are struggling.

Adopt an Area:  The volunteer committee has adopted an area in Broomfield, The East Park at Interlocken.  Once a quarter, the group goes up to the park and picks up trash and debris to help beautify the park and keep the area looking great.  This is always a great way to get a little exercise and spruce up the park.

School Supply Drive:  MSI collected school supplies to help out A Precious Child in Broomfield.  We gathered paper, pencils, crayons, rulers, scissors, backpacks and lots of other items to help young children start the new school year out with all new school supplies.  A Precious Child is a non-profit in the Broomfield area that helps out children in many ways including school supplies and sports equipment.  5280 Drywall helped us out on this one and donated a $50 gift card for dinner.  Employees received a raffle ticket for each item they donated and then we had a drawing for the gift card.

Ice Cream Bar:  The Volunteer committee provided a variety of yummy toppings to go with ice cream cups that were donated by Schultz Industries.  Everyone who participated paid $3.00 and enjoyed an ice cold treat one hot August afternoon.  The proceeds from this event went to the charity of choice for the year, Tim Tebow Foundation’s W15H Program.
