2007 Projects

2007 MS Walk -- On May 5th, several Volunteer Committee members helped with the fight against Multiple Sclerosis by volunteering at the MS Walk/Denver in City Park.  

Denver Rescue Mission Hope Totes Program
-- The MSI Volunteer Committee, with help from the generous donations of MSI employees, donated six large boxes filled with personal hygiene products to benefit the Mission's annual "Hope Tote" campaign in April. 

Helping Hands Clean Up Day -- the MSI Volunteer Committee members joined this worthwhile project for the second year in a row, helping the elderly and disabled with indoor and outdoor chores around the house in a special clean up day. 

Operation Christmas Child -- Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. The MSI Volunteer Committee collected donations of small toys, candy, notepads, socks and other fun items to wrap and fill 25 boxes for this project sponsored through Samaritan's Purse. 

Coats For Colorado -- Dependable Cleaners - Coats for Colorado, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer-based subsidiary of Dependable Cleaners that distributes winter coats to Coloradoans in need. Dependable Cleaners and Denver's 7 (KMGH-TV) have partnered to expand and increase the reach of Coats for Colorado.  The MSI Volunteer Committee gathered donations of several adult and kids' coats for this annual drive. 

Food & Animal Care Drive -- The MSI Volunteer Committee once again sponsored a food drive to benefit Food Bank of the Rockies, and an animal care drive to benefit a local animal shelter in the Broomfield,CO area.  

Christmas Unlimited -  Our Colorado Springs Branch Office employees donated their time to help out with Christmas Unlimited  . They helped parents shop (at no cost to them) for Christmas so Santa can truly come to their homes this year.
